“ Okra African Grill is a great place to eat! I ordered the Jellof red rice with a side of hot sauce. My wife got the peanut butter chicken. They were both delicious and the hot sauce was extra spicy. I also ordered Nina's Hibiscus lemongrass lemonade, it was very tasty. The service was professional and fast. The price reasonable and again the food was delicious. If you are ever in Omaha she k out Okra African Grill!! ”
“ I love this so much. Nothing is over-priced, and there are giant portion sizes if you want them, too. I've grabbed food to go at least a dozen times from Okra now -- going back to their previous location even. No matter the dish, you will find it has so much flavor, such fresh ingredients, and as long as you don't over-eat (which can be very difficult) it's super healthy. It sure doesn't taste like health food, though! If they had a location a little closer to Elkhorn, I'd get food here every week. I most often get the chicken with the peanut butter sauce, red rice, beans, grilled veggies, tomatoes, roasted sweet potato, and fried plantains. Yeah, I know that last ingredient isn't all that healthy... I'm trying to cut back, but one or two small slices won't hurt :) ”
“ This place is incredible. Its. Genius concept. Basically the chipotle of waaaaaaaaay better food. Everything looked fresh and delish. It was super hard to choose. I had the #2. The red rice and chicken. Omg it's so flavorful and so much food. This could easily be two meals. There is no way I will be eating this all in one sitting. So while the price may seem a tad high for Omaha at $13, I think it's a super good deal considering I will be eating this twice The gentleman working was incredibly kind, and after telling him it was my first time and he went over the menu with me and gave me his recommendations. I absolutely love African food and this really hit the spot for a quick healthy and delicious lunch. I can't wait to come back and try the fufu. If you love ethnic food, give this place a try you won't be disappointed.! ”
“ This place is so good especially for a different type of food experience! We tried two of the staple Togolese dishes--ablo and peanut butter chicken--both were very decision and unique. The owner's son waited on us and he was very polite and knowledgeable--we will be back! ”
“ The food is fabulous! Flavors, freshness and options are incredible. Thank you, Nina! ”
“ This was the first time my husband and I tried this establishment or African food in general. We absolutely LOVED it! Very clean. Nice and friendly staff. Both meals tasted delicious and we will definitely return to try more off the menu. The plantains were the perfect sweet and I had a side of black eyed peas. They were seasoned to perfection. My jellof rice was absolutely delicious. Everything was delicious I had a clean plate. We ordered the ginger lemonade which she hand made and it was delicious with a boast of ginger flavor. I was given a sample of the hibiscus lemonade which is also handmade and it was a delicious combination of flavors, not too sweet either. ”
“ I'm totally in love with this restaurant. Though sadly I have only been able to dine in once (out on the patio!) and another time for take out... but maybe after writing this I'll go immediately for lunch! It's a fast casual vibe (order and pay at counter) but that's not a bad thing at all. And the food is oh so good! Build a Bowl is my favorite way to go and you really can't mess it up. Just pick some things that sound tasty (plantains!) and fill up with some tasty African food. ”
